Introduction
The Lion and Sun Party is formed with inspiration from Iran’s historical, cultural, and civilizational heritage and with a firm belief in the universal principles of freedom, justice, human dignity, and the rule of law. The Party believes that a sustainable, secure, and prosperous future for Iran can only be achieved through democratic governance, full respect for human rights, and the equal participation of all citizens in the administration of the country.
The Lion and Sun Party emphasizes the fundamental principle that every human being—regardless of gender, ethnicity, religion, language, political belief, or social background—possesses equal and inalienable rights. Within this framework, the Party is committed to working toward the creation of a free, law-based, and just society, where women and men participate equally in all social, political, and economic spheres.
This charter defines the value framework and the political and social principles of the Lion and Sun Party and serves as the foundation for its political activities, governance programs, and its national and international commitments.
The Four Foundational Principles of the Party
The decisive principles and demands of the Lion and Sun Party are based on four core pillars:
