Origins and Formation (1997–2026)
The Cyrus National Covenant Party (CNCP) originates from a multi-decade trajectory of civil, political, and analytical activities that began in the late 1990s. In its early stages, this movement operated under the name “Anjoman Faryad Iran (Iranian Voice Association)” and emerged in a restrictive political environment where formal party activity inside Iran was not possible, functioning in an informal and network-based manner.
During this period, the initial core focused on public awareness, analysis of governance structures, and identifying fundamental challenges in political, economic, and social domains. Due to structural limitations, these activities were primarily carried out through civil and non-organized efforts.
Organizational Evolution
Over time, the “Anjoman Faryad Iran (Iranian Voice Association)” evolved from an informal civil movement into a more coherent intellectual and analytical framework. Operating under political pressure and without the possibility of formal registration led to the development of an approach based on:
- Commitment to the rule of law
- Emphasis on civil and non-violent methods
- Development of data-driven and evidence-based analysis
- Alignment with international human rights standards
This evolution laid the groundwork for the transition into a structured political entity.
Transition to Institutional Identity (CNCP)
As part of its development, the movement entered a new phase aimed at institutionalizing its activities and establishing a formal political framework.
In 2024, the organization informally adopted the name “Cyrus National Covenant Party (CNCP)” and began the process of forming its political structure.
In 2026, CNCP was formally established in the United States, marking the beginning of its activities as a structured political organization.
Transition to International Activity
Due to restrictions on political activity within Iran, a significant portion of the movement’s work gradually shifted to international platforms. This phase focused on:
- Engagement with international institutions and frameworks
- Providing strategic analysis on political and economic structures
- Documentation of human rights violations
- Examination of influential regional and international mechanisms
